Elder Care Choices (ECC) is part of subscribing companies’ employee benefits packages. The service is designed to save employees time in identifying and locating appropriate resources. It was developed in 1995 in response to a growing demand within the local business community for a program to help employees manage their work and caregiving responsibilities. A consortium of the area’s leading employers, including R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center and Sara Lee, worked with Senior Services to create this innovative service.
Since its inception, the program has grown and expanded as more employers are realizing the dramatic impact that caregiving can have in the workplace. ECC currently provides services to employees of 20 corporate clients representing more than 20,000 local employees.
