Our staff chili cook off/competition is scheduled for Friday, March 21 beginning at noon. Mark your calendars! You can sign up a team to enter the cook off or sign up to bring sides by clicking here. Download the event flyer here.

Got a Senior Services question you’ve always wanted to know? Submit your “Ask Anything” Questions here. They’ll be answered at Family Meetings and via emails throughout the year!

In the event of inclement weather that impacts our operations (early or delayed start, closures, etc.) you will receive an automated call and text message (if your phone allows this) alerting you to the change. Please check your phone and your voicemail! 

Got an IT or Operations Need? Submit a ticket here or email itstaff@seniorservicesinc.org. Don’t forget to put your level of urgency!

If the room is available, Senior Services staff can reserve the IGC gallery theater to play pickleball after work hours (4PM or later). You and everyone in your party must sign and turn in this waiver. Bring your own paddles and balls. Happy playing!

  • Open Pickleball: If the room is available, Senior Services staff can reserve the gallery theatre at the IGC after work hours (4PM or later) for pickleball play. Staff and anyone participating in pickleball must complete this waiver and turn in to John Brown (jbrown@seniorservicesinc.org). We have nets, but you must bring your own paddle and balls.
  • Public Service Loan Forgiveness: Work full-time and have student loans? Be sure you’re tuned into the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program. Don’t forget to certify your employment at this link!  Our E-IN is 56-1085968 and forms can be sent to Kim or Kristen.
  • Treadmill Desk at Shorefair: The treadmill in the Shorefair fitness room is now equipped with a table/desk that will allow you to use your laptop while walking and/or have a surface for reading, writing, etc. while using the machine. Please see Asim or Kristen with questions about how to use the desk.
  • Room Reservations: To reserve meeting spaces at either Shorefair or the new Intergenerational Center for Arts and Wellness we will use a system called Skedda. Please register here. Click this link for a video introduction/tutorial.

Staff Notes and Reminders:

  • Senior Services latest illness exposure and return to work guidelines can be found here.
  • ALL staff: Please monitor yourself for symptoms of any and all illness and report to your supervisor if you are not well.
  • ALL staff: If you have been exposed to a cold or virus of any kind, please remember to mask up for three days.

Total Staff Cases: 105

Instances of Potential Linked Cases: 9

  1. December 2020 – MOW – between staff that worked closely together in pick-up room.
  2. January 2022 – HC – aide exposed through family member of participant.
  3. January 2022 – Participant exposed through another participant at WADC tested positive.
  4. July 2022 – potentially linked case at Kernersville SL site.
  5. January 2023 – unlikely, but not impossible linked case between two staff at Shorefair.
  6. March 2023 – Participant exposed through another participant at WADC tested positive within 5 days of exposure.
  7. August 2023 – Staff member who was exposed through a participant at WADC tested positive within 5 days of exposure.
  8. September 2023 – Shorefair staff member who was exposed through another Shorefair staff member tested positive within 6 days of exposure.
  9. January 2024 – Two participants tested positive at the WADC, 3-5 days post-exposure to two other positive WADC participants.
