Senior Services invites you to explore the arts through a variety of intergenerational classes. Classes are offered FREE OF CHARGE but registration is required.
Professional artists will offer visual art classes, acting lessons, dancing, drumming, and more in a safe, in-person environment.
Unless otherwise noted, all classes are located at the Intergenerational Center for Arts and Wellness, 114 W. 30th Street, Winston-Salem 27105 (behind Senior Services).

Spend a fun couple of hours learning something new, meet new friends, and create lovely, hand-built pottery. Pieces will be fired in your color choice, and ready for pickup in approx. 4 weeks.

This class is designed for those who have no, some, or limited Pickleball experience. This class builds a strong foundation for the main skills required to begin playing Recreational Pickleball. Most of the time will be dedicated to drills that help reinforce basic techniques.

2:00–3:00 pm
Get moving and have fun learning African Dance moves. This class will focus on basic West African dance movements and rhythms. Participants will explore a variety of African and Afrocentric movements through a progression of warm-ups, center work, and across the floor.

Spend a couple of hours learning something new and meeting new friends! Students will explore a variety of weaving techniques on a small frame loom to create a beautiful, unique and decorative art piece.

Classes will cover the Uta Hagen principles of acting, improvisation, exercises for enhancing acting skills, and scene work.
